d16y8 with sir tranny?

my tranny is gone..

i have a stock d16y8 in my 99 si coupe

i was wondering if a 99 sir tranny or any tranny from a b16 engine would bolt up to my engine. I'm planning to get a b16a2 sooner or later, but i need a tranny right now

you cannot mix and match D-B series tranny/engines

d series trannys are cheap anyways... should be able to pick one up for a cheap. when you get your b16 then sell the d engine and tranny together. I got $500 for my old setup

there has been kits on h-t and a few guys are running their turbo d's with b trannies but they were never meant to be sold to the public. it's doable but not worth it. for that price you can throw a fd and lsd on you d tranny and it'll do just fine.

Can be done....but get an Si tranny, new clutch and an lsd :)

i would say just get the b right now.
