D16Y8 into a 95 civic cx/ will it work?
is it possible for me putting this 96-00 D16Y8 1.6 16VSOHC VTECII PGM-FI 1590 127hp@6600rpm 107tq@5500rpm 96-00 Civic EX (USA) into a 95 civic hatch
is it easy to do and would it cost me an arm and leg?
im looking for a d15 but i found this one cheep so im just wondering

no its not hard, i just did it bout a month ago and rebuild and evrything cost under 1200. thats doin all the work myself though, u just have to wire the vtec soleniod and oil pressure switch, other than that its a direct fit

The EG has a 2 piece harness and the EK has a 1 piece harness which makes things a lil easier. Also some of the of OBD2 connections won't be the same as on your 95. So get the harness if possible.

thanks for your help guys this is what hes got for sale so i guess im not geting the wire harness, i still have the d15b8 (cx) harness
im going to check with honda for a price on the d16y8 harness to save headaches
D16y8 complete Includes tranny, ecu, axles, shiftlinkage, the only thing im keeping is the wiring harness

Why not? I sold my d16z6 complete engine/tranny for under $400. No rewiring necessary, especially if you get the engine bay side harness from a 92-95 SI as it will be already wired for vtec. Thus, no re-wiring.
I know its not that hard, i am actually using an obd2 gsr dizzy on my obd1 b16.
