d16y8 intake on stock d16y7 longblock

would the addition of this intake make a noticeable difference to daily driving? Furthermore, would I have to tune the engine (i.e. using A/F ratios under dyno) to get that performance gain, or would just bolting it on make a difference?

wondering if it is objectively worth the hassle.

no bigtime tuners to lend their $0.02 worth?

I'm assuming if the airflow increases with the y8 manifold, then the ECU's A/F ratios and timing will be innaccurate no? This would necessitate reprogramming yes?

please advise.

The Y8 Manifold is a much better design than the Y7 manifold. you don't HAVE to tune to get better performance outta it, but a little time on a dyno with a simple fpr adding a couple psi will make some more difference.

Remember to get an Y8 manifold from a Y8. this is the one that uses the 3 wire IACV, unlike the MT one that uses a 2 wire IACV.
