D16A6 in and EG

I know this is a pointless swap, but i just blew my engine and this D16A6 has been rebuilt with some goodies.... anyways, i was just wondering whether or not this is gonna be easy and if there is any wiring or any of that stuff i need to look out for. also, ill be converting my EG from auto to 5 SPD during this swap and am looking for some advice for that as well....like, i have a 89 SI and i was gonna rip[ off all the linkages and clutch assembly off that but i dont of course know if that fits....so yeah, any advice would be great.
thanks
Corey

my guess is you'll have to make the motor compatiable with the OBD1 system...kinda pointless swap, your goodies wont ever make up for that fact you've got a dinosaur engine in your car lol

just buy a D16Z6, direct swap..cheap (could get one for 400-500 bucks)..and its got vtec

zeeman can likely help you on this topic.

I agree the d16z6 would be better, unless u r getting the d16a for cheaper, and lucky with 92 civics they all came pre-wired for vtec regardless of model... only have to wire in knock sensor...

and i would have to agree also Zeeman can def. help you out...

or even if u look there are b16's going for dirt cheap right now on the board, there was one also for $500....

if it's just to drive around in then grab a z6 to put in. that way you don't have to convert it to obd1 and stuff. if you're going to build it then the A6 wouldn't be a bad choice at all. those have a stronger bottom end (correct me if i'm wrong) and the head has been proven to flow just as well as a vtec sohc head could. if you have the a6 already then keep it but if you're deciding which one to go with then go with the z6.
