D16 prices??
H-ey guys,
I'm looking to get a swap done soon but am running into some finnancial difficulties.
I just wanted to know how much d16(96-00 Si) motors go for since everyone is swapping those out and putting in b16's and ZC's I wouldn't mind getting a D16 for the mean time.

sorry i just edited the post ..... i mean a d16y8 from a 6th gen Si
how much does one of those go for with roughly 70-90k

6th gen Si is a D16Y8 ....

what i can get u is a D16A6 with 160k on it. buut i dont know if it'll work with OBD2...actually i'm sure that it wont, it doesnt have knock sensor and all the associated sensors of OBD1 and above

naw thats not what im looking for i have a d16y7 right now .. about the same as a d16a6 i think

guy just get a sohc vtec head and put it on.
u will have high compression(10.6:1 with Z6 and 11.2:1 with Y8).
done up right, it'll have quite a bit more power than a normal si motor would have.

If you are swaping around parts and all, becareful of detonation, and future problems, just save up and get the job done right.

mee too........i want an si that someone is will to selll......
i have a 92 4 door......
i think its a lx or dx engine.......

i want to put an si engine in but i don't know if the previous tranny and stuff will work with the si engine....
can some one tell me .????

i was looking for an si head with an automatic si ecu.........
