d15b w/ d16z6 ecu?

can a d15b use a d16z6 ecu?

was the d16z6 and d15b both made in japan?

and, if i am to put a d15b into a civic that already runs a d16z6, is everything pretty much plug & play? no extra parts i need to buy other than full engine?

tia!

Hey,
Your talking about putting a p28 ecu with a d15b7? Why are you going from a d16z6 to a d15b7?? blow the engine or something? I have a d15b7 with the stock ecu and am trying to findna p28 for a d16z6 swap I'm hopefully going to do. I know where I can get you a d15b7 ECU or two.

d15b and b7 are diff engines.

The JDM D15b is a JDM 1.5l 3 stage vtec engine making around 125hp. Where as the d15b7 is a 102hp 1.5l NO VTEC.

Check www.buysellzone.com I saw a guy selling a 92-95 Si (p28) ecu for $100

Also check out TSR, p28 can be had for around $175.

yes, it will work. but...

your fuel economy will go down the toilet. we're talking approx. 200km per tank.. and you'll be slower than most of the D16Z6's on the road.

if you're gonna swap in a JDM D15B get the proper ecu for it..

yup, fuel economy goes to ****, and its hard enough to find the right ECU....and quite impossible to find a manual ECU for that engine.

i know, cause i had it!
