d15b vtec not working. helpppp

d15b vtec not working. helpppp

so i got the d15b vtec motor for my 95 hatchback. I had a p06 ecu which i got someone to chip it to a p28 for the vtec. i also have the wiring from the vtec solenoid and oil pressure switch to the ecu everything seems to be okay but check engine light wont go off and vtec dont work. i am using my stock harness from a nonvtec d15 but as i said a chiped p28. can anyone tell me what i am missing heree>??? i dont know wtf to do . help me out please

the engine light could be there for something else. but also the solenoid may be siezed.

well check engine light was not on before i did the wiring for vtec. after that, it came on, and how do i know if the solenoid is you said seized and how do i fix it?

what code are you getting?
Many codes will stop vtec from working.
Vtec looks for an oil pressure signal, a RPM signal, a VSS (vehicle speed sensor) signal, a ECT (engine coolant temperature) signal.

Figure out what codes your getting, fix them if they're important for vtec, then you should be good to go.
To check if the solenoid is ok, send 12V to the solenoid, it will click and you will hear it click as you give it 12V, if not, get a new one.

For some reason im thinking its the VSS for him. Happened to my brothers car and my 1st civic.

anyways, always check your check light when it comes on. Chances are, that's your problem
