D15B VTEC jdm motor

i was told it's a striaght replacement for a 92 civic si is that true ?

I had the d15b vtec in my old civic and i couldnt be happier its got a higher redline and more power then the d16y8.

dohc zc is the best.......its a zc but pretty much still a d series motor and has two cams instead of only 1.....wink,wink

Yeah but were talking about what engine is best fit in his car. The zc dohc is a cable tanny motor isnt it?

So the d15b wins out in this scenerio.

he can use his tranny on it...but then he would have to backwards convert to obd0...so this scenario the baby vtec wins

d15b doens't own anything lol

...its JDM... if anything breaks will be hard to replace
...itds got 130HP (3 more than Y8)

but it has 101 ft/lbs of torque

Y8 has 107

dosent' own anything..the dohc zc would kill it in low end and mid range power....and you can get obd 1 zc's they are just harder to find..the d15b is a ok motor...but it will be very torqueless....you will need a high final drive to keep it on boil all the time.....it's like the b16 of the d series..ya it has soem decent hp but the torque is shall I say gay.....

ther zc has no torque or hp either... the only thing it would kill is a scooter maybe

if i didn't have a z6 now i'd probably look into a dohc zc with the hydro tranny... nice and cheap anyways....
