d15b7 is the stock motor of the 92-95 civic its a 102 hp 98 lbs tq 1.5l with no vtec basically economotor.the d15b is the jdm si motor and has around 132 hp and 108 lbstq with vtec and has a very good rod/stroke ratio.

italstallion...thanks a lot man! My mechanic swapped endines for me yesterday and is doing the wiring this morning. my old block said d15b7 and the new was d15b. i thought the same as what you wrote but just wanted some assurance. someone said i should put the 1.6 si motor in but i heard they're older and less powerfull than the 1.5vtec. now i can rest assured and just get my comp chipped so the vtec kicks in.
thanks again man and happy motoring!
