$1100 for a cable tranny?!?!?!?
Damn you can get hydro ones (which he would need since its going into an EK) from importers for like $800. Or even off these boards for like $600.
I thought that cable tranny's were supposed to be cheaper?

Teknotic's trannys will have warranty on them though.

EDIT: Some private sellers sell crappy trannys. Atleast with Teknotic, you know you are getting a reliable JDM engine.

I'm working on it. I may of found a longblock, all I need to do is check the compression then if everything goes well. You'll have your mini-me before the snow melts

but the warranty's don't cover water pump, oil pump or if you get a worn out clutch or one with a worn out LMA's or messed up rockers. It is just a 30 day start up warranty. Which even states that you have 30 days to install and verify that it works. Then states that you must show proof of a shop installing and changing the timing belt and water pump to keep the 30 day start up warranty.
I would personally never buy an engine/tranny from an importer again. You are always taking a chance with a "jdm" engine. You never know how or if it was maintained, or how the person abused prior to you. And they usually come with faulty of busted sensors like TPS, evap, o2, iacv, map.
I would much prefer to see the engine running in a car before i bought it, unless i planned on rebuilding it.

yeah good point. If something does go wrong you are going to have to pay for labour again to swap the engine or fix what went wrong.
BUYER BEWARE goes for everything in life not just engines and car parts. Always make sure to really check stuff out before you buy it. Who cares if you think you are annoying the person. In the end its your money.

lots of people sell engines out of their cars. I've bought 2 before where i saw them running in a car for friends of mine. 1 of which i have to swap this weekend, b20 in an EG hatch.
