d series tranny info

does any d series engine fit onto any d series hydro tranny?

my buddy bought a 92 civic si.. the engine block says d16z6, but he bought a d15b8 engine

cool, so i guess the intake manifold, p/s , alt would all fit on perfect as well, no mods?
