d series trannies?
 

so right now i have two trannies at my house.. a 99 dx and my original 93 Si... the gearing on the dx is obviously ultra shatty for anything other the fuel economy...

but i'm wondering if any of those hydraulic zc trannies would fit onto a d16z6?

anyone know?

yep....any d series tranny will bolt up...but jsut keep it hydrualic and your good to go...since you auto X try and find a lsd tranny..:thumbup:

ya i've seen one before.. an lsd zc tranny that is... but it was on a obd1 dohc zc... so i wasn't sure if it fits ... that'd be sexy all said and done though...

the only bad thing is i'll loose my 3000 rpm @ 140 kmph in 5th :notfair:

haha ya good cruise rpm forsure.....but if you wanna play you gotta pay...and the lsd outta a obd 1 is what you need :thumbup:

yep i know... i might need a new exhust though cause it'll probably be to loud reving to high on the highway with that tranny... but it'd accelerate so much quicker

well i looked on ebay today and found nothing...

but i'm sure there are places in toronto and such that would be able to find such a tranny? anyone have good experiances at any??

I"m assuming that the 5th gear 3000 at 140 is the dx because on mine its at 120. There's a guy selling a d-series lsd hydro in the classifieds. Might want to check it out.

I hate automatic.. ah well, the body was in good shape and the engine had virtually no mileage.

so the d15b trannies... do they have higher gearing then the d16z6/y8 trannies here? cause i already have an Si tranny... non lsd of course but that could always be changed

I'm looking for one too (Si LSD tranny, I guess from a VTi), Adrian said he'd let me know when he got one in. I'm getting antsy though, my 4th autocross of the season is already upon us this weekend.

i'm not to concerned about the lsd for now... like it'd obviously be nice but i just want some super short gearing... but i hear ya i'm on the lookout too :hide:
