CV Joint?

I have a 1994 Civic Si and there is a clunking noise coming from the passenger wheel. It only seems to happen while turning and during acceleration. I'm thinking its the CV joint, or maybe bearings, but it doesn't make any noise while driving straight, only turning. I've already changed the rotors in case that was the problem but it still remains. The CV boot was changed last summer after the old one was torn. I packed it full of grease and inspected the joint then, but a lot can happen over the winter.

Any help with this would be great.

Thanks.

you changed your rotors because of a clunk? Dude.. its your o2 sensor.

no im ****ing with you.. if its a constant clicking when turning its your cv. Usually the boot is ripped if its the cv. If its not your cv, just inspect your front end.

It could also be the sway bar end links, as they will only clunk when you turn the wheel.CV shaft will clunk 90% of the time, not just in turns.

In my buddys teg they clicked only when turning, especially left.

more problems today. As I was driving straight, I was still in gear but took my foot off the gas and the steering wheel started shaking violently. I pulled off the road, checked the lug nuts because it felt like the rim was coming off. Everything was okay from what I could see and once I started going again, the problem was gone.

Like I said b4, the problem of the clunking only happens when the car is in gear, especially when accelerating.

Definitely the CV joint. I jut had the same problem last week, I changed the shaft and it's all better, the noise I had when I turned is gone. I at first thought it was the bearing, but you'd hear it humming as you drive straight, and get louder as you accelerate.

its your Outer CV joint.
if it clicks when you turn right, its the right outer and the left outer if turning left.

If it clicked when you were driving straight then it would be the inner joint
