CTR/ITR 5 Bolt Conversion Q's

What the advantages and disadvantages of the 5 Bolt conversion other than the pimp factor? :p

Does it bolt in or is it a difficult swap?

What is needed for the swap?

What should I be paying for a ITR/CTR conversion plus wheels/tires?

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Freddy

pimp factor is the only advantage, if you have a ****load of power i guess its better, but again you will need a lot of serious power to make it something you need

The only advantage I can think of is 5 lugs holds the wheel a little better than 4. Braking ability has nothing to do with number of lugs and if anything, 5 lugs weights more.

Everything bolts on only if you are using 32mm axles. If you get 36mm axle (ITR), you will need to convert the drive axles as well.

Technically, all you need is caliper knockle, caliper, 5 bolt rotor for the front; 5 bolt rotor and caliper for the rear. Front spindles are same as SiR/GSR, and rear trailing arms are all the same.

If you want a bolt on fashion, wheels plus parts should be under 2G.

Anything I said wrong, please correct.

actually there is way more to the 5 bolt then just that.

1 the rotor is MASSIVE.
2 the 99-00 brake pads are THICK and have special compounds in it
3 the caliper is huge
4 comes with abs

ctr is all bolt on. remember to hook up abs yes i know abs is gay but on the ctr's the abs was made to work in a way to actually help assist in track racing.

remember if you get the 97-98 model ctr 5 bolt the pads and rotors were not modified. only the 99-00 were. and the rotor was actually .3mm or something slimmer

I don't have ABS on my car, would it still work?

5 bolt is a theft magnet, many, many rides on H-T that are stolen are 5 bolt, for that reason i've stayed away, far far away myself.

H-T has lots of info too Freddy, of whats needed and there is even a DIY install on there regarding 5 bolt too I believe.

You have ABS sensors on your hatch, just not plugged into. I am not sure where the front ones are, but the rear ones are right below the rear seat bench.
