If your going for all performance, i say catback system, c.a.i, headers.
But if you want a nice looking car as well, I say go for bodywork and a new spray. 95% of rex's these days are in pretty rough shape

the mods for a crx are the same as for any honda really... for speed a swap should be the first things since none of the stock motors are anything to write home about.

Look all over. Just depends on where you can go.

Do suspension first so the thing can handle. Then a swap because the d-series engines really aren't that great when you mod them.

Possibly, just keep checking the trader if your willing to travel throughout ontario then you can most likely find a decent one

the stock motor will be peppy but you will need a DOHC zc to give it soem slight speed...then maybe soem suspension mods liek new bushings cause they will be trashed and springs and shocks soem liek 14's with azenis... integra brakes brembo blanks with aem pads stanless lines with motul fluid...zc tranny with a exedy clutch and ligthened flywheel....there are soem ideas...oh ya a b16 woudl be nice to...but a zc is still good ...DOHC that is... then custom turbo kit with hx mani
