CRX with B16B Euro Spec.

CRX with B16B Euro Spec.

Hey guys. Hows it going? OK alot of you know me, name is Kostas. I'm the guy that comes with the black 5th gen Lude and crashes your meets. hehe. Ya know the guy with the shorts and sandals.

So anyway I need a favour guys. Got this friend with a 92 Euro Spec CRX with a B16B. He's going through the modding game right now. Only problem is he lives in Greece so he doesn't have much access to parts. He's interested in an exhaust. What size piping works best for those of you with the B16B? Any of you have the skunk 2 intake manifold? Whats your opinion on that?

He's also looking into engine manegment. So what are his options? A new ECU or a chip? JUN, Skunk 2, Hondata, Spoon? What gave you guys the best bang for the buck? Any cheeper alternatives would be very apreciated.

Any other nice bolt on mods would be nice if you have any to recomend.

An OEM ITR exhaust will work well with the B16B CTR motor... stainless steel piping, 2.25" diameter, and won't cost anywhere near $1000 bucks like most brand-name exhausts...

Skunk2 IM is the ****.. same casting as the ITR IM, but manufacturered a bit better. Also if you were to compare the 2 you'd see the Skunk2 is slightly hand ported after manufacturing ....

Unless you're talking serious power (ie boost, NA race built head and bottom) you don't need a standalone... piggy back systems and tinkering here and there will do just fine. And if the internals are stock, stay away from those "race programs" and "chips".

the B16B is a fine motor, Honda put it in the CTR for a reason. personally I'd keep most of it stock internally..
