just an fyi...
most ebay sandwich adapters dont give out filtered oil, the reason the GE costs what it does. Obviously the oil will at some point be filtered but it uses the oil before going into the filter not coming out, for supply

ya, it only took a few hours on friday (with chris v2's help), no work on saturday, 5-6 hours on sunday, 3-4 hours on monday to get it up and running, then on tuesday i got the charge pipes made/fit to my car, wednesday i got the downpipe fitted to my exhaust and fixed all of the oil leaks. So i'd say i've got about 15 hours in it, working very leisurely with lots of breaks.
I've fixed my laptop, so tonight i'm gunna do some more tuning, then all i'll have to do is replace my rad and dyno tune. My stupid 13 year old stock single core rad isn't cuttin it with the extra heat/power, after about an hour of driving (not even hard) the temp guage starts to raise, i'm gunna check my datalogs tonight after tuning to see how hot it actually gets. But i'm prolly just gunna put in a new dual core, b.c i've never had any problems with dual cores not being sufficient on boosted hondas.

Andrew, im actually running into the same issue and I have a dual core!! lol

After about an hour of driving, my temps start to rise. I have the Yonaka racing dual core from streetimports.

Thing is they dont make them for DOHC vtec cars, its made as single cam replacements, so the neck on the top of the rad is a little smaller than the oem neck of a stock (say SIR) radiator.

So im guessing its not flowing enough coolant. As the only way I got it to work, was to use the upper rad hose from a SOHC 1.6L civic

I have Mugen thermostat, mugen fan switch, Dual core rad with slim fan.

Only way to keep the temp gauge from climing is by keeping the air for inside and driving with the heater on lol! (this is only after about an hour's worth of driving)

this is what i fear about going with a stock dual core....i'm tempted to bite the bullet and grab a fluidine/PWR/Koyo.
Although, i've never replaced my thermostat in the 4 years i've had this b16 (ya ya, shame on me, but if its not broke why fix it?). So i'll prolly switch it out when i do the rad.
Stupid car, i've only spend $200 getting my car boosted, now i gotta buy a $300+ rad....bourns.

I have a Fluidyne rad w/ slim fan (boosted d)and had excessive engine heat until I wired the fan to run constant. I still sometimes have to run with the heat on in the hot summer months which kinda sucks but thats the price you pay I guess. Also try water wetter to lower water temps.

well i picked up a brand new dual core rad and thermostat today, but driving around all day the temp guage didn't even move and i wasn't takin it easy either.
I was thinking that if the new rad/t-stat didn't help, i'd try some water wetter, but isn't that stuff only for the summer, since it has no anti-freeze characteristics? So i'd have to change it back to regular coolant for the winter, which isn't a big deal i guess.
I wired up my slim fan to come on with the ignition and though that fixed the problem, but it didn't.
I was quoted $400 for a yonaka rad and like $480 for a flexlite from my local speed shop. So for the price i got the del sol dual core for i figured why not, its time to retire the stock 13 year old single core rad....lol.
