Question crazy idle

so i got the new motor in i swapped a d16y8 into my 95 coupe. everything runs realy great but at ilde it revs from 1000 to about 1700 all the time. I have one vaccum liune coming off my charcoal canister that isnt hooked up because there is nowhere for it to go.. Does anyone have an idea what this could be. My ecu is flashing a air intake temp and a electronic load detector code. when i unplug the connector from my tps it revs steady at 2500.

Don't worry about the Electrical Load Detector.. That will never set off safe mode and is not the cause of this problem.

First you need to check out the sensor that's resulting in the code. Not sure what air intake temp is, what was the code #?

You need to ensure that all vac lines are connected properly.. If there's no connection then you need to know what should be done with the open hose.. Plug the connection, leave it dangling?

Test your TPS.. Should increase smoothly as you open the throttle from like 0 to +5v.

Process of elimination is the only way you'll figure this out.

IAT is located on the back of my intake manifold on my d16z6. closer to the drivers side.

you may have mixed up the IAT and IACV connectors - they both have the same plug, and are in the same area (back of the IM on a Z6). If you did this - it could cause the funky idle, and probably would have also blown the IAT sensor.

IACV should be the Blue and yel/blk wires.
IAT should be the red/white and grn/wht or grn/blk.

k heres what ive researched, the engine was an automatic and ive converted it to a std. now the throttle body and intake air controller are diffrent than the y8 standard throttle body. the iac on the standard is called linear and the one on the auto is called rotary which has a three pin connecter while the linear has a two pin. so i read up about it and it turns out that since the car is now standard the rotary(auto) IAC is sending in bursts of air that are not needed. the iac and throttle body off of my old d15b7 wont bolt onto my y8 manifold.

Would anyone happen to have a linear IAC and throttle body of a std Y8 intake manifold that theid sell??
