crankshafts and pistons??

so today i picked up a full zc engine from the auto wreckers for dirt cheap and im currently in the middle of rebiulding a d16y8. the d16y8 had spun a bearing on the crank and the piston on cylinder 4 is screwed. Now my question is, will these pistons and crankshaft off the SOHC zc fit on my d16y8? Would it boost my compression or keep it even?

i know the DOHC ZC pistons would bump up your compression in a z6,y8 im not 100% sure if the SOHC ZC pistons are the same but i wouldnt suggest it i would just get the right pistons for the motor unless your looking for mad high compression or building up the motor

well i am lookin for high compression, i am also thinking of shaving the head down 20 thou. but i need to find out if the zc pistons would work or not. as far as the crankshaft goes is it the same?

I believe the rods and pistions from the ZC will fit. Not 100% though.

i found out that the pistons in the y8 block will give me 13.6:1 compression, i dont know if thats using the zc crank as well though.

wait these pistons are from an d16a6. the code on the piston is pm6, thats really wierd. the zc must have been rebuilt already. Anyways so the a6 pistons should fit in my y8 correct? same with the crank. they are all 1.6 litres..?

yeh, they arnt zc pistons so i dont have to worry bput maikin 13:1 compression. the pistons have been changed to pm6 pistons which will run me around 10.5:1 compression
