nto wor th it a crank pulley will **** your bottom end up because it isnt' harmonically (sp) balanced

Ive been told they fawk your crank bearing, seal, or whatever, and your engine will start pissin oil...

they'll cause problems if they aren't balanced... which i doubt most are

it has nothing to do with balancing, a stock crankpulley is lined with rubber, this rubber "absorbes" the vibrations created by the bottom end, and an aftermarket pulley's dont have rubber, so they dont reduce, or absorb the vibrations, so in turn all the vibrations make more stress on rods/girdles/bearings/and main bearing caps.

this is the correct answer.
i have never seen an aftermarket pulley not ballanced, but its not called just a pulley... its a Harmonic Dampening Pulley.

there is a company that makes lightend harmonic dampening pulleys.
