Hey i have a few questions... i m assembling my engine right now, but dont have the bearings for the crank... just wondering what size they are??
and would it matter if the crank has been lightened? i wouldnt think so.. correct...?
if anyone knows what size crank bearings a GSR takes please help me out...

well every engine is different.
There are marking on the corner of the block where the oil pan attaches, they're letters. And there are markings on the crank. If you haven't removed too much material from the crank journals you should be ok with what the markings on the crank/block give you (which color bearings). Other wise you might have to go 1 or 2 sizes bigger.
You could also just get ACL bearings, which are the equivalent to honda's green bearings, which is right in the middle of the scale i beleive.
Eithey way MAKE SURE TO PLASTIGUAGE!!!
Go to canadian tire and grab some plastiguage, its like $10 for a pack (thats all you will need). It can be found with all of the other specialty automotive tools.

this is what you need, honda OEM
main # colour
1) green upper & lower
2) brown upper & lower
3) yellow upper & lower
4) green upper & lower
5) brown upper & lower
no neded to plastigauge, i did it before and everything is .00015" clearance across the board or ideal.
this engine is fast. very very fast.
