Cracked boot
I just did an oil change on my car and was looking around and noticed my driver side boot on the driveshaft was slightly cracked. Its ther one closest to the wheel. How long do i have to change it before anything screws up and how hard is it to change? Thanks

the longer you let it go (being torn), the more grease leaks out and dirt gets in... therefore the faster the joint wears out. Try and replace it as soon as possible. Many local garages I know of just swap the entire axle shaft (with both CV joints/boots already adjoined) with one from a wreckers. Believe it or not, but it's easier that way.
