wow...i don't know where you're getting them from, but thats a little expensive.
B20s go for about $500-650 at local importers....not at.... t e k n o t i k.....there you can add another $300-400.
Call around to the local importers/wrecking yards.

well a long block doesn't do you any good if you got a D-series Civic.

many years ago, one of the first B20 Civics in ontario... cost over $6K to put together by peicing it together. started with a long block, then needed manifolds, mounts, tranny and linkage, rewiring (it was going into a OBD1 car), axles, and all the other accessories that would normally come with a swap. **** adds up quick when you get it all separately.

i've seen lots around for like 800-850 for sale, but everyone gets different prices everywhere so it doesn't really matter who pays what now does it?

Buy a complete B20 and install it. You can buy full B20s with low KMs for about 1400$ around here. And I charge about 400$ to get them installed.

The trannies work great...if you have an auto. If you don't, get an LS tranny or B16 tranny. They all bolt up.

Use the LS halfshaft and driveshafts for a 95 civic...not a big deal at all.

B/c the CRV trannies are AWD, if you don't know why thats a problem then i'm wasting my breath here.

I'd love to see you make a LS halfshaft fit with a 95 civic axle. Seeing as the 95 civic doesn't use a halfshaft so the drivers side axle is super long.

Obviously you use the LS Comp. What about wiring? LS aswell? I would like to find out about the axles myself w/ better explaination though.

LOL! My bad I meant 95 LS integra shaft, non abs if you don't have abs.

And as for the awd. You are dumb. Alot of CRVs came non AWD, infact some came in 5 speed. So you suck.

It's like swapping an LS people, it's not hard. If you have a non vtec D15, just buy an obd1 dizzy and any year B20 (non prelude of course) and a hydro tranny and your pretty much set. It's a bolt in application.

In 1996, CR-V only came in 4 speed auto Real Time all wheel drive.

In 1997, CR-V had an option of 4 speed auto or 5 speed manual, but they are still, all Real Time all wheel drive.

The 5 speed manual gears are shorter, it has the shortest 1st gear out of other B series tranny, and the 2nd shortest FD aside from JDM 98 spec ITR 4.785FD. Ideal for 5 speed tranny, but too bad, AWD only.

In 1998, CR-V had an option of 4 speed auto 2WD version or 4/5 auto/manual AWD. 2WD tranny is only offered in auto, and 5spd tranny, again, only in AWD form.

Who swaps 4 speed auto into their Civic? Probably next to none.

5 spd CR-V? Yes. Are there a lot of them? No. Can we use 5 spd manual tranny in a Civic to perform a 2WD duty? No.

I was gunna say, all of the b20 tranny's i've ever seen are AWD or 4-spd auto.
Hence why people use b16/gsr/itr trannies with their b20 swaps.

NP Andrew, glad I can help. Indeed, from a swap (power gain) point of view, B20 tranny is futile, unless you are after a AWD setup.
