Coolant loss

I'm driving my car and i keep checking my coolant in my rad and the over flow bottle and its like as if the motor is eating it.... but Its not leaking anywhere.... temperature hasn't gone up yet but i'm waiting for it too cause i have a feeling i'm loosing coolant....
I'm pretty sure its not a head gasket either

but how can i be sure???

check the floor of the car.
Once i had disappearing coolant, and it ended up being all of the floor of my car b/c the heater core inlet got damaged during a swap and there was like an inch of coolant on the floor of my car (it was hard to tell b/c i have rubber floor mats).
I doubt this is your problem, but its worth a check.

Wait a minute, Kev, didn't you have this problem during your swap? I thought that was fixed?

ya well its damp still but i think it was from previous coollant in the floor he clened it to his best abilities but he's not a steam cleaner so i dont' blame him

I soaked it up
VERY VERY FAINT signs of coolant just water but its not heavy like before so i dont' think its the problem i've left one of the matts out

to see if it worsens , they said they fixed it which seems fixed cut my overflow bottle seesmt o be emptying out quicker then usual

i can say that it's normal because it happened to me when i had my swap...i thought my headgasket was gone but it's not...it actually takes a week or two to make things go back to normal...why? i'm guessin the coolant has to cycle itself properly and it takes time

if the problem still present itself after couple of weeks then i suggest you take it to a shop and check it out

lol. Pressure test it, it's probably a leaky heater core. Do you get any condensation on the windscreen that doesnt want to come off unless you wipe it. Or does it smell kind of sweet in the car?

heater cores dont always leak at the inlet and return lines, the actual core can have a pinhole leak in it

it will leak inside the car on the floor...depending on how wide open the heater valve is would be how bad the leak is or how big the hole is...also the line necks can also leak on the core...could start as a sweat and overtime just fail completely
