Coolant Leak, Check Engine Light
My car developed a coolant leak in the engine bay. I didn't look close enough of where it was so I got it towed to a shop. Found out that it was just the upper rad hose.
So that got replaced. Went and picked up the car and drove home. 5 min into the driving, my check engine light came on. What could it be? Where is it that I can read the "flashes" so that I can determine the engine check code? It's a 90 Civic SI (canadian) |

Did that. I can't seem to differentiate between long and short pauses and flashes :( I have an appt with the shop tomorrow. Is it safe to drive it there? It's about 25 km.

go ahead and drive it if it drives. just don't kick it to 5000 rpm at every light and you should get there in short order.

Turns out to be the O2 sensor, according to the shop. But since the diagnostic, I haven't got the check engine light. Maybe they reset the ECU?
