CONTROL ARM QUESTION pls HELP
 

im getting vibration in my car from what I think is a lower control arm problem, I have experienced camber wear only in the front as a result of what I think is a control arm problem.


Does a 99 integra lower control arm fit a 92 civic hatch...PLEASE let me know I need to fix this asap.

yes it fits

First check your suspension bushings for wear. If a control arm isn't bent it wouldn't cause a camber problem.
I would also check in order:
1) Upper ball joints
2) Lower ball joints
3) Outer Tie rod ends
4) Inner tie rod ends

Also, when was the last time the car had an alignment? Toe out can exhibit the same tire wear as a typical camber problem for a lowered car.

And for your information the DC2 teg uses a slightly different front subframe yet I believe(don't quote me on this) that the front lower control arms will bolt up to your EH(EG) Civic. I would check the other things I listed above unless you know for a fact that the lower control arm is bent

My car is stock right now, never been lowered. I get this pulsing grind noise when braking from the front passenger brake. I changed my rotors last summer and I dont drive stupidly. But yes my car feels like its almost bouncing from that side...its starting to really concern me as I drive the highway everyday

and yes I think its my bushings but would I get this as described above from worn bushings?

Check your pads and rotors again just to be sure. The grinding sound and pulsing feel leads me to believe that its brake related instead of suspension related. Is the pulsing through the brake pedal or the steering wheel?

Like I said before, double check your brakes and go through all your suspension bits. A decent service manual will help you out here.

To put it simply, yes. If your car is "stock" like you say it is and your getting camber wear, it's probably time to take a good look at those bushings. If they are completely torn or overly cracked it's time to replace them and get an alignment. It makes ZERO sense to align a car with worn bushings. Best of luck to you.

Lower control arms?? If its lower, you'll need to disconnect the lower ball joint, then its just a matter of undoing the bolts.

Pretty straight forward, however if you've never done this before you might have some problems... and bolts could break.
