connected battery backwards

connected battery backwards

well i went 2 go see this car...and the idiot owner connected neg 2 posi and now the engine wont start....should i still buy the car??? need help asap... plz and thank u

check the fuses in the under hood fuse panel...i bet either the battery fuse or the backup fuse is blown.

Yeah, my buddy did that to my car when I first got it. I was ready to kill him. Anyways, it'll probably blow a major fuse under the hood as zeeman said. I'm curious... were you there when he did this? When it happened to me, everything in the whole car lit up and then turned off and nothing worked.

i was rite behind himm...i couldn't c wat he was doin i expected him 2 atleast know the diff..or 2 ask for a flash lite...but the only things that work r fog lites and brake lite//and nothing else...mann..wat a a-hole... so its juss a blown fuse??

^ most likely just blown fuses.

get him to replace all the fuses and check everything out after that.

the under hood fuse panel cover should have a label explaining which fuse is what. Check the battery and back up fuse.

it blew the main fuse, car designers are smarter than that, they know poeple are retarded enough to put the battery on backwards.

well if it still doesn't start after checking the fuses then the ECU electronics have been fried... those usually get wrecked before the fuse pops...

then why have fuses? the whole point is so that DOESN'T happen, heh.
