compretion ........
 

i check my compretion and 2 cylinders are 180 and 2 cylinders are 150 .... is this caused by piston ring or by head (valve spring etc ? ) ....is it worth raise my compretion with out wild cams ?
i only have filter ,exaust,superchip,freeflow cat.:swords:

Low compression in 2 of the cylinders = bad compression engine.

The only way to fix this is to do a rebuild ie. Replace piston rings is one option. But then that costs $$$ unless you can DIY.

Upgrading cams will not fix this problem.:cool:

how was the compression checked? did you do a leak down test?

if it's the piston ring/oil control rings you should be burning mad amounts of oil. are you?

get a second opinion from another reputable shop and if the results are the same then you'll need to rebuild..

was the compression tested with the engine being hot or cold? The numbers don't seem to be off by that much....how many clicks on the motor?

If the two cylinders are adjacent, then it could be a head gasket or a cracked block/head. If they are not adjacent, then those two cylinders are just plain shot....need to pull the head to determine the cause. Either way, it's time for a rebuild of either the head or the cylinders.

snif snif .....i thing i will go for type r pistons ....is it a good move ?
can compretion help performances with no cams ? ......is anything else from the intervals that i must replace once i open it ? the cost is high but i will know that the engine goes like new right ?
if i go for other b16a2 its a blind bye i can not see inside....so my only option is rebuild ...................they ask me near 1200 $

You don't need new pistons.... at least not for sure. You have to open the motor to decide what's a reasonable way to go. Gotta know where you're losing compression, since it could just be a gasket, or it could be a cracked block. Could be worn valve seats...
