Compression test results
I did a compression test on my H22.
Cyls1 through 4 all averaged between 250-253. I'm assuming those are good numbers since they are all about the same.. Or my motor is breaking down evenly :p What are the exact #'s on new motor? Thanks |
well I"d say it's nice and tight....mmmm nice and tight...
strong numbers for sure. that's a healthy H22A
Thanks..
I took pics of the tests as well. |
Who did the test for you?
probably himself, fairly easy
did it myself.
bought a tester from princess auto. Removed ECU fuse, couldn't find fuel pump. (So when you're cranking you don't flood the engine with fuel) Disconnected harness to distributor.(Just incase! Don't want wires to be sparking...) Pulled out all the wires and spark plugs. screw tester into chamber and have someone crank until the compression stop rising. |
Trying to picture this... head off?
I think the lower the compression numbers are the better... 80 is a great number to aim for ...
no head off, u put the the guage where the spark plugs go and it measures the compression in psi
Sweet! Gonna have to do that this weekend. Thanks.
wal mart has a comp. test for like $17 great investment
Yup, I think it was $16.95 plus tax or something
