Compression and Leakdown test

anyone know of any reputable/reliable and reasonably priced places or work for any of these places that do compression and leakdown tests? i am hoping to get one down friday morning... if you can do it, please PM me, otherwise if you can post some good shops for that stuff.

ALSO, HOW MUCH SHOULD I BE PAYING FOR EACH AND FOR BOTH?

Thanks.

and i know the affiliates, but i was wondering about pricing.

dunno, I paid $25 bucks for a gauge at walmart, and just do it myself.

For the compression test you just need the guage to do it yourself, but the leakdown requires a compressor.

i wouldn't pay more than 80$ for both.. I can't imagine it being more than 80

edit: why dont u just call a shop?

i have a compression checker i could do it for u if u want its very simple.

leakdown = pain in ass...you have to bar engine over so that the valves are perfectly closed on the cylinder being tested

done it pain in ass would not do it again

it really only needs to be done if there is something wrong with yoru engine internally and compression numbers show **** so you narrorw down the problem with leakdown

i went to a shop and told them i needed a compression and leakdown test and he was like i can do the compression test and a wet compression test and he said it was the same... to me, it sound like it must be different because the leakdown test you are forcing air into the cylinder so there is probably more it can find...

Just get yourlself a gauge from CT and do it yourself....

once again you only leakdown when there is something wrong with your engine ie your compression is **** in a cylinder so you leakdown see if your valves or rings are leaking....if your compression is good leakdown is not necessary...it's a pain in the ass

splitfire charged me 80 for both tests.
