competition clutch stage 4 with 11lbs flywheel
i am picking this up and I was just wondeirng what you guys think in terms of the combo on a b18c1 in my ek. I don't slip the clutch really when i drive and never when i am driving aggresively so I am thinking I might be able to work with the engagement.
I have looked and noticed there are two stage 4s, one is a rigid one i think its a non-sprung disc and the other isi the sprung disc for street/track use... it says on the site that it allows for easy gear transitionis and smoother take off... is it not too harsh??? also, I googled and what I found one pretty much all site is its a 6 puck sprung disc, but on like one or two other sites some have them as 4 puck... anyone know what it is? thanks. also, you guys think an 11 lbs forged steel flywheel would be a good match? |
why such a heavy clutch, planning making 400whp and 300ft/lbs?
On a daily driver its a little much IMO. At least get a sprung disk. |
yeah, there are two... the sprung and un sprung...
I am doing my b20 vtec setup and will boost it eventually, so I figured I may as well get the clutch now, but I don't want to hate it too much. the one I am interested in is the Strip Series 1640 which is the sprung disc and the site claims it has smoother takeoff... plus, I am just getting it for the same price as the stage 2... i could get either or, but I figured for the price I may as well... |
sounds awesome, should last a long time
