COILS vs SPRINGS

Hi peoples, just wondering what a better setup to start with is, either H&R Race or going with the SKUNK Colis...?

(i.e. ride comfort, quality, shock wear/tear, handling, etc...)

Thanks for any help if possible ya'll...

based around how you asked that question, I would recommend H&R Race Springs.

Why?
fewer things for you to screw up

Interesting reply JSK... I would have to agree that springs are the way to go for you, but it would be wise for you to look at springs more geared towards use on stock shocks... like Progress and Eibach. H&R race are a little hard on the shocks and will likely eat your shocks within about 6 mos, maybe even less.

Never tried Teins, couldn't tell ya... Neuspeed is spec'd out like H&Rs, as a matter of fact, a few years back H&R used to make the Neuspeed springs. Linear... somewhat harsh.

actually i'v had the H&R's for awhile now and the ride isn't too bad and the shocks are surprising okay still...but i recently picked up a pair of SKUNKS so i'm trying to decide if i should stay with the H&R's or swap for the SKUNKS...?

i have skunk2's on stock shocks.
i can tell u this, it sucks big time.
maybe if u dont drop it too much
the ride wont be so harsh.
BTW, im on a second set of stock shocks within a year.

Totally agree with Eric, I had ground control with stock shocks, and my head keeps hitting the ceiling. I returned it after the first day, they were nice enough to take it back.

As long as you don't race on street or higway, it is fine for looks. I love the looks, but the preformance totally suck shhh..... with stock shocks.

Definately the ride comfort will be worst on coilover sleeves compared to springs. So far I had my Skunks for a 1.5 years and it hasn't worn out yet (knock on wood).
