i have the dropzone coilover and shock combo on my car, bought on ebay for $245 US ... i have no problems with them, smooth ride, height adjustable, coils didn't seize up, firmer ride but not harsh ... overall money well spent ... i recommend them if your on a tight budget or not willing to shell out $2000 + for name brands that does the same trick ...

I have on my 2000 SIR:
Goldline springs 2.3" front/rear
sick drop... like a neuspeed race!
mated to Tokico Illumina's
= just like stock nice and smooth.
paid just under 900 bucks for my suspension...
at least do it right the first time!

900 smackeroos is easy to come by these days ay ; )
I currently have Weapon R coil sleeves which my friend gave me and I find them just awful with my stock shocks. How could he ever drive in Boston with these now I know. The ride was quite bumpy and not forgiving at all. On the other hand, my brother had Neuspeed sports on his 00 SiR mated to his stock shocks only and yet they were great.
Well my set up is going to change as my Neuspeed springs I ordered from Amar of JDM Warehouse are in so I can't wait to mate them with Koni reds. what a price we have to pay to lower a car with a good parts.
If you don't ever need to adjust the height, just get lowering springs if you're on a budget. I hear Tein S Techs springs are great as well as H & R which are priced much higher. Eibachs are up there too but hear they are too soft and quite expensive.
The total price for my setup would be:
Springs Neuspeed Sports: $260
Shocks Koni Reds : $525
= $785 --- WOW!!! 8D
Can anyone find Koni Reds for less than $135? pls PM me immediately --thanks

should i go the drop zone coilover package or the spring, the spring is a hefty 2.5 inch front drop, and im just scared in the winter i will be plowing everything, yet with coilovers i hear u have to get all 4 corners weighted and **** like that sounds like too much of a hassle plus h ave to oil the coilovers so they dont seize? i would like to jack my car back up in the winter to fit my snows and ****

note the stock shock,
save your coinn on the eibach and reds spend that on a set of illuminas for your wepon R coils, and you will have an even nicer setup than eibah and red combo

Dropzone coilovers (sleeves) are NOT the same as Tom's, they are exactly the same as Skunk 2's. They both have 450 F/ 350 R spring rates. If you match 'em up with good shocks and install them properly without too much of a drop, they're fine.

those sleeve kits are useless b/c i guarantee you're not going to adjust them, and once u do, your gonna screw up your look with one side lower then the other..... trust me i had them on my 02 vic....
just get springs.
my cost
Goldline $230
Illumina's $660 = $890
just get springs.

umm no, please dont compare dropzone exactly the same as Skunk 2s especially over toms lol
In fact all 3 share the same features
dropzones are 350/450 toms are 350/450
dropzones have a double jamming spring perch so do toms.
dropzone has a rubber hat Toms has an aluminum hat
both come with the same bushings and spacers
Skunk 2,s are allot beefier and 3-4 times the price
altho they are also 350/450 and share the same features. they are much better quality.
Dropzone and toms are both made cheaper and use cheaper methods of winding the springs and makeing the sleeves the metals/ paints used is also less quality.
So Dropzone compares to Toms well before Skunk2

Skunk 2's are not 3-4 times the price of Dropzones. If you're paying that much more, you're getting ripped. You're just paying a little extra for the Skunk 2 name. They're basically the same. Have you ever seen them side by side? I know a couple of retailers that know they're the same. Why would these shops bother telling a customer they are the same, and sell them Dropzones, when they could charge them more for Skunk2's and say they are better?. In fact, Quick CX's replies to this post a while back confirms this (he got mixed up between GC and Dropzone, but noted the mistake on page 2):
