coilovers with shocks
anyone have experience with using tommotorsport coilovers with tokico illuminas? any good?
How "springy" is that set up (does this set up allow the tire to travel up and down a great deal)? I have 17"s on my car and i dont feel like having my tires ride up into my fenders and rub whenever i go up or down slopes or anything like that.
Productive feedback appreciated.

Save some more money to buy good quality coil over, like Ground Control or Tein.
Tom Motorsports coil over = Ractive... or even a cheaper version.
I tried it... and changed it So why waste time and money??
Buy something good right now

ya man the combo isn't bad... considering the total cost is $700 for shock and coil over... sure its stiff but thats what you get with coils... i have zero complaints what so ever... i would say the ride is "harsher" then when i had the race springs... but its the plush of the race springs that bottom out shocks
they allow as much suspension travel as you set the shocks at... put them at 1 all round you'll get a fair bit of travel... put them on 5 you can jump on the rad support and move the suspension half inch of travel... and yes i did try
but honestly i couldn't justify spending $500 on skunk2 coil overs that do the same thing as mine that cost $99...

you can't expect miracles from your stock shocks
