Hey guyz, new comer over here..

Hey and welcome. I have H&R coilovers, but Progress competition is good too, about the same price... $1250USD, which is about $2000 canadian. Another option is Tokico or Koni kits that come with all the bits, I've seen those for about $850USD, about $1400 canadian. My philosophy, go big or go home. so you are looking in the right direction with JIC. But it has so much adjustability, you prolly wouldn't be able to use them. Another idea, some Progress or Eibach on Koni or Bilstein.

Ya I thought about Koni too. I'm new to this, but does Koni and JIC has that big of a difference? (function wise, ya, but what about performance)?

Performance wise, you are buying a perfectly matched spring/shock (JIC) versus matching the rates yourself as is the case if you buy shocks/springs separately. Thankfully, Koni is adjustable, and will allow you to match the dampening quality to a good spring.

Go with the most expensive thing that will not put you in the poorhouse. Esp on a 2002 Si. By the way, you know your hands are bound on this....ie. not many good susp are made for your ride. If you want the Koni ones, you have to destroy your stock ones by removing the steering link on the shock. Ask Marty (Si Veloz) about 7th gen susp.

i have the neuspeed/bilstein coilover combo. costs about $2000 (not sure on the exact price cuz i got them used). they've been working great so far...nice ride, not too firm. the only exception is the fact that i never lubricated or cleaned them so now one of the coilovers are seized

coilover suspension

I would suggest u buy the real coil over set up. I had all the other stuff before. Man the Teins and the JIC's are sooo wiked. They have a firm but quality ride. I would never use springs and shocks again. When they are a matched kit u dont get all the bounce and u still have the stiff spring rate ready for da track but comfortable on da street. I picked my JIC's up at a shop called Kensai Racing in mississauga.

JIC not yet available..
H&R Cup kit not yet available
Koni..i'd really hate the thought of destroying a brand new strut to do the swap over..
KYB not available..
Bilstein not available..
tokico not available..
skunk not available..

atm, Teins or wait for the JIC...
quickly learning that just doing springs are a waste, and the Koni setup just screams "half-assed" product..like, what would it take to add the steering link..??

You can use the RSX kit on the civic u must buy the RSX tie rod ends and it gives u a stiffer spring rate.

full system is better matched for each other than combining bits here and there.
