Coilover HELP!
 

Hello everyone, I just installed Tokico Illumina'swith Dropzone coilover sleevs. They both are awesome!!!

But when I wanted to lower my car....I jacked up the front and lowered the rings quite easily. Then I tried to lower my rear and They were a lot harder and I couldn't even lower them. The spring in the back is tighter so it in compressing against the ring so it is hard to twist it. Is there anything I can do to make it easier? Its a lil lower than stock right now. It was installed that way.

there is nothing you can do to relieve spring preload... that's just how it is.

So how am I supose to lower it?? Anyone?

maybe get a gym membership and pump those girly arms :D

no really... if the spring is long enough to remain in contact when the car is jacked up, then that's great!! but you do have to fight the spring tension when lowering the car. springs that lose contact with the seat would piss me right off, esp cuz my car dogleggs a wheel every time I go into driveways and whatnot, so I'd always lose the spring seating. that would suck.

so consider yourself lucky that your springs are long enough 1st of all... and put some effort into turning that wrench man. Or get your husband to do it :D hahaha jokes!

YA ya thanks. But there is a problem with it, I just took it to the shop and they can't turn it also, I guess they have to go to the gym too. So they are taking it off and they are goin to see whats the problem.

Do you guys put anything on your threads like anti-seize? would that be a good Idea?

It was cross threaded, so I have to get replacement pieces

chirst... anyone every heard of a spring compressor it would compress the spring and remove the preload...
