Coilover Help
New here..been searching around for a while when I was selling my 98 Accord coupe V6 and looking for a cheaper civic hatch.
So my accord is sold and I jus bought a 98 Civic hatch. The car came with coilovers but the dealer raised it up to pass safety. I did not get the coilover wrench or key whatever it is, would anyone here be able to help me out adjusting the coilovers?? I would be willing to pay for the help or supply the beer!! |
also wanted to mention that I am a regular over @ torontoaccords.com but now that I have a civic I'm spending alot of my time on these boards...so i'm a noob but maybe a lil less of a noob.

What kind of coilovers are they, does it have a single perch that tightens with a set screw or 2 that tighten against each other? If the the single perch style like ground controls, just loosen the set screw, if the threads are clean, you might even be able to move the perch by hand, if not to get it started use a flathead screwdriver, put it in one of the slots that that the spanner wrench would sit in and use a hammer to knock it in the directon you want, many people do it this way.
