hey what do you guys think of these coilovers, i dont want to spend too much and i want it to last as this is my everyday car, i carpool etc.

or howbout these instead of coilovers

http://www.proparts.ca/products/desc...2_3/index.html

1sykcoupe 21-May-2006 11:47 PM

is it a must u buy coilovers? cuz its not worth the ****ttiness of the ride. why don't u go with springs which will cost about the same.
i bought coilover sleeves not im gonna end up buyin springs n shocks

imported_Joker 22-May-2006 12:11 AM

get option # 2

imported_crazydragonclk 22-May-2006 12:22 AM

that should be good enough right for lasting quality for a few years or will i need to replace them later on, and how much will insallation cost for them?

if i gert a strut bar to go with these springs, will it improve steering much?

1sykcoupe 22-May-2006 08:44 PM

gives it a tighter ride once u add strut bars. ur lookin at 120 and up for installation depending on whether or not bolts are seized. within my knowledge, i beelive speedtech does it the cheapest.

imported_SaYjAiBaO 22-May-2006 10:15 PM

unless you like to go out on lapping days or auto-x, just get those s-techs. they're designed to work with stock struts and the ride is still comfortable. chances are if you get coilovers, you'll never adjust them anyways.

if you want some strut bars get some good solid bars. don't get any with pivotal joints because they just flex with the shock towers. some good bars would be passwordjdm, neuspeed, carbing, or even diy bar from home depot lol. it'll be heavier but it will still serve it's purpose.

imported_crazydragonclk 23-May-2006 01:03 AM

howbout megan strut bars?

also so i guess im gona get some tein springs. and that should be good enough for me right, is there a specific model or anything, sport?? and how much will a mechanic charge for install, i may ask a friend of a friend to do it who is a mech.

and what height would u recommend or is it jus standard height. i want it to look good and also be comfy enough and not a pain to drive over everysingle driveway or bump with probs or steering sideways

imported_crazydragonclk 23-May-2006 02:02 AM

can i go with cheap coiovers liek this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-95...68076605QQrdZ1

and get a pair of these tein s sport springs

http://www.proparts.ca/products/desc...2_3/index.html

imported_SaYjAiBaO 23-May-2006 03:12 AM

just go with the s-techs. they're like a 1.8 drop in the front and 1.6 in the rear. megan strut bars are garbage. like i said, you don't want any strut bars with pivotal joints or are length adjustable.

imported_2XPLICIT 23-May-2006 03:33 PM

I bought the Tein SS and they are amazing.. it feelz as if im driving a brand new car..

imported_Joe_98Si 23-May-2006 05:46 PM

if you dont have the money for a quality coilover system, i would recommend going with the better quailty springs the ride of the springs will be much nicer then the ride of cheap crappy coils

imported_crazydragonclk 24-May-2006 02:33 AM

anyone know about compressing stock springs? some guy suggested i do that he said $60 he could compress my springs not cut them and the ride quality would be better than any tein lowering spring?

Hey Jeff, do not go with cheap generic coilover/spring from EBay. I think for what you want, Eibach Sportline and Tein S are your best choices.
