Code reading

Ok *** question: I was trying to-do my timing, any way I had the service connector connected and I noticed the abs light flashing codes. So my question is I always thought the engine light gave the codes, so what’s the deal with the ABS light. And did I interpret them right (long dash for the tens digit and short dash for the ones digit)

What I got was 81, 41,61,45 ( I think they all pretty much have to do with my O2 sensor)

Yeah but I thought the codes should be showing on the engine light not ABS light as well I have one book that’s says long dash is for ones digit and short for tens digit and then I found a web site that says it’s the other way around?

long is tens short is one... i don't kno how EK's give the ecu codes off. i kno on mine the code is given through the computer... i think in the glove box you gotta put a paper clip so the car knows your reading codes... then you CEL will flash.. i believe its also normal for the SRS light to flash when the key is turned to on but the car isn't...

the abs light shows codes for the abs, so something must be wrong with your abs
