Clutch, Tranmission ... ect ????

Ever since i bought my car there was a little chirping song that would occur only when the clutch was not being pressed, but it wasn't to bad it would only do it the odd time. Now as soon as i start my car u hear the chirp very loud and its very annoying, so i almost always keep my foot on the clutch so ppl dont hear the sound lol. Does n e 1 know what it is? i heard if i change the clutch it would fix the problem, and i also heard from sum1 it sum bearing for the clutch that are lose or sumthing when they go to grap the gear or when in gear..... i know they r about the same thing, the clutch and the transmission but does n e 1 really know wat the problem is... i took it 2 honda and they said its sumthin in the transmission and it would cost me 85 and hour and it would take 8 hours to take apart and then n e part so that alot of money. then i went to mister transmission and he told me that stuff about the clutch and that its probably the bearing inside and that i would have to get it fixed eventually. So i was thinking of changing the clutch then instead of fixing this 1... but i need 2 make the rite diagnosis first

throw out/release bearing needs to be replaced...u can wait till it seizes and essentially blows up or u can replace it before that happens...and you might aswell get the whole clutch assembly replaced while they are in there cuz thats basically the labour you are paying for

the clutch kit comes with the bearing that needs to be replaced so go for it

sounds liek a throwout bearing...your tran is probobly fine seem like the throwout cause when you press the pedel it put's mroe pressure on it so it wont' rattle/grind like when there is little pressure on it on disengagement...

seeing hwo they have to take the tran out buy a whole new clutch kit caus eyou will be just paying for parts anyway...might aswell get it all done in one bang instead of paying for more labour to pull tran again when clutch goes...

OKay here we go again.... ..... From the sounds of things it is not the release bearing , pilot bearing or clutch ......It sounds like the input shaft bearing. In order to replace that bearing you have to dis assemble the transmission .......Honda out of warranty quotes at least 8 hours .............If you want pm me and i can hook you up with some one who can do it fast as fast can be .....the input shaft bearing is not that expensive in the first place.........with my Parkway discount it was around 30 bucks......The bearings get nicked and vibrate causing the noise....If you are interested in changing your clutch as well ... while you are in there you might as well
