Which clutch should i buy?

Hey guys,

need advice on clutches.

whats a good brand to purchase. for normal use and maybe sometimes high rev shifting..but more for regular driving conditions.

has anyone heard of Daikin Exedy clutches. apparently some website is claiming that Exedy is an OEM part for all honda's and acura's..is this true???

do u know anyone on this forum selling clutches...

anyone know good brands and prices...even websites would help.

both i guess is okay aftermarket and oem replacement.

cheers

Russ

I suggest a Eurodrive clutch, best quality for the money IMO...clutchnet,clutmasters, act all wastes of money.

I think ken from ksr orders them in... give me a call and ask him

exedy has the oem replacement that has 10 % mroe holding power..then they have a race organic that has 30 % I belive mroe holding...I's say get a exedy race organic with a lightler flywheel or have yoru flywheel lightened...but if your on a budget then get a euro drive I have heard nothign but good things about them they have very good prices and are local..they have a wedsite I believe so do a search on the net

act
clutchmaster

all good but real expensive...I'd only go for a act if I had a dsm and needed a huge 2600 lbs plate with a street disc to take huge abuse in awd launches...

EXEDY!!!!! Cerametallic clutches.... I cann't stress enough the importance of getting a good clutch!!!

How much power you pushin anyways.

Maybe all you need is an OEM clutch.

I'm doing EXEDY ALL THE WAY!

ACT is hard on the tranny. You want someone who knows, holla at Mista Bone from d-series.org I think he's a moderator there. The man can tell you how many teeth each gear has... he's the God of Honda trannies.

I've heard bad things about the ceramitalic clutches but that was from dsm guy's so so I bet it was from awd slips that toasted them..dsm guy's swear by act 2600 pp and street disc...so..

the thing about clucthes is some use harsh materials like ceramic pads pucks or button and others use heavy pressure plates to acheive the same thing to hodl mroe hp...I'd say a heavy pp with a street disc is your best bet. Exedy ceramitalic look frail like they will fall apart....

LOL, dont go 2600 on a stock honda hydraulic system..... they cant handle it... your goign to be blowing clutch master cylinders, hydraulic lines, slave cylinders... and not to mention replacing the throw out bearing every 20,000 km

Im not so sure about that... To say a clutchmasters is a waste of money is asking for a pretty good argument.. ask JSK he ran one for awhile, and had nothing but good to say about them...

Maybe you should do some more research, you might find that they are one of the best clutches money can buy...

Eydyne clutchmaster page

No one can argue with these guys they know more about honda engines than we could ever dream of...

there will be no bumps in this forum, this isn't the classifieds!!!

try it one more time...

Look, if you diverge from mainstream you're going down a rough road.

ACT, Exedy, Clutch Masters, Centerforce... all companies that have been around awhile. Anything besides that, you're on your own, we can't help you.
