Just thought i would start a thread for people to post there experiance with certain clutches. so go ahead, post your good and bad experiance with specific clutches. also if you wish give the clutch you are taking about a rating out of 10... thanks and hope this thread is usefull to all

I have 2 reviews I can throw on here, neither on a civic but still valid for someone looking at these brands or types of clutches:

1: Centerforce Dual Friction clutch on a 1994 chev cavalier V6 5 spd.

Good build quality.
very smooth engagement.
Good grip/hold, it's weighted so the higher you rev the harder it grabs.
One draw back - gave a noticeably heavier clutch pedal in the car, which made for not so nice driving in stop and go traffic.
It slipped only once, at the drag strip, when I was running a turbo on the car and the torque at the wheels was probably in the neighborhood of 250ft-lbs.
Decent life-span.

Overall rating imo: 7/10 *Would work great for most cars, except for the heavier clutch feel. If you can get over that, it's an excellent clutch.

2: Unorthodox Racing Full-Kevlar Unsprung Race clutch on a 1987 Toyota MR2 (supercharged) autocross project race car.

Excellent build quality.
Excellent grip, likes to be 'dumped'.
Very smooth engagement for an unsprung clutch. Sometimes shudders slightly (this is normal for an unsprung clutch).
Needs to be warmed up for maximum grip (only takes a few stops/starts).
Clutch pedal weight feels the same as stock.
With many mods to the engine it has never slipped in 2 seasons of racing.
VERY good life-span (Kevlar ftw!)

Overall rating imo: 9/10 *Highly recommend for anyone getting into racing. I will be installing one of these with a lightweight flywheel in my civic when the factory clutch finally dies.

every had experiance with the centerforce II??

I have the centre force II dual force in my eg d16 and it's way better then stock but has a very stock feel pedal for being st2. I had a st3 an dfound that in stop and go it would over heat and chatter. the centre force I'd rate at least 9/10.

I have an OEM replacement exedy from ebay....its great, nice soft pedal feel good for stock. Organic clutch is the next step up and i heard great things about them too!

Cant remember the exact model on my ACT clutch, but it was grabby and engaged very nicely. BTW This was on a 95 VR6.

Had an Act stage1 clutch on my old B7 setup that ran 14.9" on stret tires. It was fine it held up to a lot of abuse. I just put a brand new exedy stage1. Same feeling as the other guy. Feels stock and good for anything under 200 hp.
