clutch question

clutch question

can i used my stock clutch if i want to put a turbo on my car. And if not what after market clutch should i use and how much would it cost me( parts$labour)?. BTW i have a D16Z6 motor and tranny but my clutch is off a dx.

ACT Stage II with new flywheel... with install, about $1000 maybe or thereabouts

DX clutch does not have the holding power needed

Also, you may want to invest in LSD to put all that power down to the ground, its always a nice upgrade.

soch LSD tranny....600? used of course

I think they're pretty rare.....came on a civic VTi dunno what year tho...

a dx clutch definately doesn't have the holding power. i have a d16z6. the car is a 93 and i got a 99dx tranny and clutch. and i find that if i dump the clutch it doesn't grab like the Si clutch did. and i'm pushing like 145 hp at the flywheel on a good day. it'll be slippy slippy with a turbo for sure
