Clutch problems!!!!

OK guys.....here comes the strangest story ever, but I really need help.

Setup: 95 CX with JDM SOHC VTEC w/LSD tranny
Exedy Race clutch with SRR Flywheel

Go to drive my car today for the first time in a few days, because of all the snow. Get in, put the clutch on the floor, car is in second gear. Turn key and car starts and begins moving forward.....Startled, I turn the car off. Ensure clutch is ALL the way to the floor...it is, but the car is reluctant to get in neutral. Force car into neutral, restart it and attempt to get reverse. GRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNND GRRRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNNND
Try to grab First gear, no dice, can't grab any gear w/o pushing the clutch down as hard as humanly possible and forcibly shifting the car.

Now the first thing other than the immediate problem I noticed is the clutch pedal had lost a lot of "springback" If you will......that sucker was heavy as hell before this and it has clearly lost that feeling throughout the top half of the pedal. It feels a lot like the brakes on a car you are bleeding that has air in the lines. So of course I check the fluid....it is fine. I can force the car into gear and drive it somewhat, but the engagement point is now millimeters from the firewall, whereas in the 3 years previous it was almost halfway through the pedal stroke.....

I am at a total loss as to WTF has happened here, the car was completely fine last time I drove it, and the clutch has been nothing short of Bulletproof for the last 3 years.....5k slips, powershifts, chirp 3rd you name it, this clutch took it and liked it.

How can my clutch just self destruct sitting in my driveway!?!?

Any input is greatly appreciated......Thanks guys

Probably the clutch master cylender, check the fluid it the resovior, if its full check for leaks under the dash were the clutch pedal is attatched to the master and if its leaking you will see it with a light staining the carpet, if not check the slave for leaks.

Thanks guys....it does seem to be the clutch MC, I can see it leaking and the inside of my car reeks like brake fluid......I should have thought of this really but my brain is rocked from finishing up my last year of university.....now to find time to fix it!

BTW LSD tranny is the greatest upgrade ever for your D....highly recommend it. Thanks again!

somthing like this just happend to me, but not nearly as bad, i know it's the CM, but you know where the linkage of the clutch is almost to the left of the headers? just try realesing the air from that and smack it a few times and you should be fine, lol

Leak in the MC. Rebuild or replace. Then bleed properly.

Same thing happened to me. I put in my Xtreme Duty full disc ACT clutch.. Its a cable tranny. Start it up, grinds wont go into gear.

It engages about 1/4 of the way up once i adjusted the adjuster screew ALL THE WAY. I have Lots of room for wear

Oh yeah and dont powershift your car.. No need for it

Goodluck
