clutch problem

I drive a 98 civic si. I recently installed a new clutch and pressure plate (exedy), but the pedal is still high. Only about the top 1.5-2" of travel will release the clutch. I have bled the system already and adjusted the pedal as high as it will go. Has anyone else had this problem or know what could be wrong?

maybe something has to be readjusted for the new clutch/pressure plate?

there is nothing to adjust on a hydraulic clutch...

it could be the wrong clutch assembly or not installed correctly. or I guess something could be wrong with the slave cylinder itself (internal leak)

maybe that's just the way the clutch is. I know with my act hdss the engagment point was lower than stock for sure. I never thought much of it..it uses a more heavy duty pressure plate so I would assume that the engagement point would of changed a tad.

Took the words right out of my mouth...

The centerforce dual-friction clutch I put in my cavy is like this. The engagment point is near the top of the pedal (first 2" of travel), and thats the way that clutch is...
