Clutch making a light sqealing noise when depressed

Hi guys, Im not too worried about this but any help would be great. I had a new Luk clutch installed in my Vigor abou 8 months ago (new bearings etc..), and for the last 3 months, its squeeled a bit when its cold. It ONLY squeels when its fully depressed, or for a slpit second while its engaging. I'm certain its not the tranny. Also, a release bearing makes more fo a wheel bearing noise if its faulty, and this is a distinctive brake squeel sound. Have any of you experienced clutch dust before that causes this? The shop has been great to deal with and are willing to look at it, they are saying that it could just be dust. Any thoughts.???

sounds like the release bearing, or metal on metal.

if a squeel or metal on metal sound occurs when your clutch engages/disengages it's most likely your release bearing. It might of been poorly installed if its only 8 months old.

Or it could be your clutch fork..remove the boot and grease up where you see the ball meet the fork. See if that solves it

Thanks boys, yeah I'm going to take it back in. The guy at the shop is great to deal with, so it'll be fixed no matter what. Were going to remove the inspection plate, and see if theres dust in there. It could have been installed wrong as well, but hey, the labour is warranteed, so they'll have to pull the whole front end of my car apart again, to get at it. (Vigors are brutal) fun but brutal. Thanks to thsoe that replied. Ryan
