ok its an 89 crx 5 speed with stock tranny (i think its a L3)

my guess is its cable clutch. the clutch has alot of play in it. it was heavy but now its just 'dangles' there half way through while u are pressing it.

check your helms
don't have a helms, buy one

or do a search

There is an arm on the tranny.

At the end of the arm where the cable connects there should be 3mm of free play.
