Clutch
Its that time, need to upgrade. What would you recomend for drag racing that could hold 50% over stock?
act is very good but a little expensive, i am going with eurodrive clutch on my car they use it in europe on rally cars pretty descent priced at 400 or 450$ cdn funds. Check in with ken at ksr he can recomend one for you and install it

Clutchmasters Stage 3 should be more than enough for your needs.
Clutch Masters is a really nice clutch. The stage 1-3 hold 70% over stock. The Stage 3 however will last longer.
Nice, thanks guys.
nice new clutch, i want one too, i heard clutchmaster was bad, i don't remember who told me though, but i could be wrong.
You'll hear good and bad about all clutches. I use ACT in my MR2 and love it, but I hear some bad things about ACT. Many people use CM in Hondas, but I still hear bad things about CM as well.

I use a McLoad clutch. They're one of the older clutch manufacture's. I'm happy with it cuz it's not that stiff yet is a stage 3. Lifetime warr. no matte what! :P :D
ok so we got CM, ACT, and mcload.
What one would you choose? |
McLoad :D
You can't go wrong with any of the ones mentioned above.
Centerforce...very popular in mustangs, others too are good. I'd go with the one that you get the best deal on. Most will be about the same quality. See what Ken carries and installs at KS-R
A friend of mine blew his new centerforce clutch and got a replacements, almost blew that one also untill he realized that there was some sort of pin interfering with the clutch disc. He grinded it out and it was fine. But for the cash you pay for these things you expect quality and not having to grind away **** to get it to work.
Another pal of mine had and still have (second) clutch masters, he has never had a problem with it. Both cars are civic's....................................of course................haha |
hey mike!.....i heard exedy clutchs are quite good!
check it out! |
Clutchnet stage 2

It really isn't much of a problem, but the fact that something needs to be adjusted after the install of a brand new clutch makes people somewhat weary... I've heard nothing but good comments overall from ITR owners and SiR owners who agree it's a good replacement clutch that's slightly stiffer than stock. Apparently it can easily hold like 300whp for the Organic Disc ..I could be wrong, but that's what I've read :) |
hey mike...i need to order my CM stage 3 and 7lb flywheel :D lets order at the same time from you know who so maybe we will get a discount...afterall i will have a new toy in a few months
