clicking noise when I brake?

I have noticed lately when I brake there is a clicking noise like a cv axle is pooched. It doesn't do it when my foot is off the brake or when I am turning, so its most likely not the cv shaft I figure. My brakes do however squeal but appear to have some meet left on the pad and rotor. I just want to know what would cause the clicking when I am braking at lower speeds?

Thanks,

james

I think I figured it out...
The pads have a bit of movement and that is what I am hearing. Did some research and there fine, I just have to live with them beign annoying or change my brakes. so I am goig to change them because they are glazed anyways!

Replace the shims or put on shims if you didn't already, and replace the clips the hold the pads in place. This will help a lot. If you buy OEM pads they will come with everything you need to do this correctly, if you buy aftermarket you'll more then likely have to keep all the old stuff for the install. Goodluck.
