Click noise upon accelerating

First of all, this is what I have that may be relevant to my issue:
93 Si hatch w/ 1st gen b16, 95 LS tranny, 93 GSR clutch
This has been happening for about a month now.
When I'm in 1st and start to accelerate from a complete stop, I hear a "click click" sound as soon as I start letting off the cluth. This also happens when I start to reverse. Anyone know exactly what that could be? I'm assuming it's the clutch, but why would it be doing that?

uhn...

I'm just guessing.. because there are alot of cases...
1) a bad old clutch.. the springs int eh clutch assembly broke and making that noise when you the clutch plate touch the flywheele...

2) a bad drive shaft, but you supposed to hear it when you turns not just going straight..

3) a bad front bearing... or CV joints but it doesn't give the click noise.

so i would guess it is very likely the noise is from the tranny, so you better ask an experienced mechanic to hear it using those... (like a doctor hearing your breath and heart beats..)

wish you luck man.. I hate any unnoticed noises from any part of my car.. but it is getting old.. it is something you have to be ready with.

How long after it started did you replace it? Approximately how much did it cost you and where?

SuperDerek: Thanks for the input

I waited like a 3 4 weeks....

Genuine Honda part....

Genuine Honda mechanic...

Not a genuine honda price...

I'll call you...

You can probably get it cheaper now..

Tell me what Tim can get it and I will see what my guy says...

We will take the cheapest

I'm on my second axle in 2 years plus 2 new cv boots. If your not hard on them they last awhile. I'm still driving with a slight clicking sound when I turn and it's been ages. So no rush or worries.
